I’ve never felt what others have,
The warmth and love of another.
Even those who I thought were close
Amount to nothing and have nothing to offer.
When I way younger I dreamed;
And now I live the nightmares.
Chasing nameless and faceless shadows.

The horrid time when I awake;

But what is a life you ask?
That is filled with the emptiness
The absences, the fleeting comfort.
Ah, yes, I know it well.

If they show concern, and they do,
I think it only the need,
A need to see their fellows happy.
I do not see the comfort in there words.
For I see only hate; feel only pain;
Know only darkness.
They cannot help; can offer no comfort
Because they know me, and I them
And all I know can never change that.
